§ Regulatory tracker

COMM

COMM refers to communication and marketing regulations governing how estate and letting agents advertise properties, handle client data, and correspond with consumers. Key regulatory oversight comes from the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) which enforces advertising codes, and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) which regulates data protection and electronic marketing under GDPR and PECR. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) also publishes guidance on fair pricing practices and transparency in property advertising. Watchdog HQ monitors changes to COMM weekly.
