LHA

Local Housing Allowance (LHA) is a system used to calculate Housing Benefit for tenants renting private accommodation, based on household composition and local rental market rates. LHA rates are set and published by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and local councils, with broader policy frameworks established under legislation available on legislation.gov.uk.
